The Collage Approach

Where Clinical Expertise Meets Compassionate Care

Explore the clinical approach, values, and people behind Collage Adaptive Learning.

Child Reading Book

At Collage, BCBAs provide both the clinical direction and direct services your child receives. By staying closely involved in your child's everyday experiences, we can respond to their needs, refine strategies in real time, and continually shape support around what works best.

01
Consistency

The BCBA providing direct care understands the clinical intent behind each program, supporting accurate and consistent implementation across sessions.

Direct Care from BCBAs

A more connected approach to meaningful progress.

02
Responsiveness

Working directly with your child allows the BCBA to respond to emerging needs as they arise, making adjustments and evaluating strategies in real time.

03
Individualization

Time spent providing direct service allows the BCBA to develop a deeper understanding of your child, so care can be thoughtfully tailored to their strengths, needs, and goals.

Why We Created Collage

Therapy should support childhood—not define it.

We believe good care starts with knowing the child and building intervention around their strengths, interests, needs, and preferences.

We’re deeply invested in the science of ABA and equally committed to delivering it transparently, thoughtfully, and with room to adapt to the individual.

Our work is guided by integrity, kindness, respect, reliability, transparency, and philosophic doubt.

A small practice. BCBA-led care. Collaborative by design.

The Founders

Monica Pauley, BCBA

What I Love to Teach: My heart is in helping young children find their voice. I am most passionate about teaching early communication for everyday needs and desires—whether that is through simple sign language, picture systems, or alternative devices—giving young learners the transformative experience of effectively expressing themselves for the very first time.

My Learning Philosophy: I believe learning should be grounded in current, effective behavioral science, but always with a compassionate lens. Effective therapy must honor a child’s unique age, neurodiversity, and individual personality—above all else, children should be allowed to be children.

Why I Do This Work: The small moments are the biggest ones. Nothing means more to me than the spark of connection when a client lights up with a smile or immediately runs to greet me when I arrive for a session.

What I Want Every Family to Know: While ABA has a complex past, our practice is rooted in modern, positive approaches that make learning feel natural and fun. Growth can sometimes bring uncomfortable or challenging moments as we try new things, but my promise to you is that those moments will always be outnumbered by confidence, connection, and pure joy.

Karli Greene, BCBA

What I Love to Teach: I’m especially drawn to teaching the skills that help children navigate the tricky parts of everyday life—advocating for themselves, building independence, tolerating the unexpected, and building social connections. I love finding opportunities to practice these skills where they naturally occur and have real meaning.

My Learning Philosophy: When a skill isn’t clicking, I get curious about what the learner needs to be successful—considering prerequisites, motivation, learning history, and whether the skill is meaningful to them. I want learning to build confidence and interest, even when the skill is challenging.

Why I Do This Work: I love being a consistent and reliable presence in a learner’s life through the exciting, funny, and difficult moments. I value the trust that comes with being invited into a learner’s life and the opportunity to be there alongside them through it all.

What I Want Every Family to Know: Parents know their child better than I ever will. I want to understand what matters to each family and provide behavioral expertise with honesty, respect, and an open mind.
